Langfords Hotel Brokers was founded in 1959 by John Langford snr. who operated as a sole trader for two years before being joined by his brothers, Bill and Peter, followed by well known names such as Bob Ward, John Blum and Mark Langford to name a few (all now retired, or moved on). Since inception, the company has established a reputation of professionalism, integrity and perseverance, resulting in over 2000 hotel sales since inception (as well as many Motels, Bottle Shops and other licensed premises). The company continues to support and sponsor the Australian Hotels Association (SA), and is involved in many hospitality industry Fund Raising events.

Following 7 years working in various vocations including jackaroo, Pilbara Mining employee and hotel worker, John joined his father's firm in 1979. He has also had hands on experience, having owned and operated with his wife their own licensed Tavern in the mid 1980's. Consequently John has a sound understanding of the day to day life of those involved in the hospitality industry, particularly hotels. From small country pubs to substantial city or suburban hotels, John's experience in selling hotels over 26 years is such that he is considered by many to be a foremost authority in dealing with the numerous issues relating to the sale of licensed premises generally. John is responsible for establishing Langfords advisory and consultancy service and continues to spend many hours speaking with existing and prospective publicans and others who require professional advice.

In general terms, John is held in high regard by his peers, past and present clients and industry representatives, for his diligent enthusiastic approach to each and every task. His sales success is testament to his vast experience and knowledge acquired over many dedicated years to hotel broking.

Aleks' experience in Sales & Marketing dates back some 20 years. Through family involvement, industry experience has been gained in the Management, Sales and development of properties, both residential & commercial.

Having been brought up in diverse Multi-Cultural surroundings Aleks has gained much experience in dealing with people from all walks of life. Strong communication skills have been developed and the ability to converse in a number of languages has been of great benefit.

For the past 20 years Aleks has been involved in the hospitality industry from entertaining, promotion and marketing through to management and owning hotels and nightclubs.

Having been involved in an industry where "24 hours in a day is not enough", Aleks has transferred his work ethic to his chosen trade area with Langfords and has made it a high priority to deliver efficient, reliable and knowledgeable advice and service.

Maurice’s experience within the hospitality industry is far reaching; having gained valuable experience through family owned hotels and in the operation of several licensed establishments throughout Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. These experiences, together with a sound Commercial and Business acumen, have held Maurice in high regard within related industries.

Gaining his Real Estate License some 25 years ago, Maurice has been a part of many successful transactions including such projects as the Japanese Development incorporating the Commercial / Retail precinct now known as Melbourne Central, valued at $1.2 Billion.

Maurice is now able to offer his extensive experience and knowledge to clients of Langfords, tailoring comprehensive solutions that are easily understood and ensuring a common sense approach to meet all requirements.
